Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Greg Valentine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Snapp!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Snapp coming out on top.
Valentine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snapp tries to avoid it but Valentine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snapp to the ground. Snapp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Snapp slaps away a takedown attempt from Valentine, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Valentine shoots in looking for a takedown. Snapp tries to sprawl out of it but Valentine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snapp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Valentine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snapp pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Snapp. No joy for Valentine on that attempt.
Valentine blocks a head kick by Snapp.
Valentine falls off balance throwing a combination
and Valentine takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Valentine swings away with a body shot that misses
and Snapp counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snapp connects with a crisp jab.

Valentine rushes Snapp and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Valentine lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Snapp or not.

Valentine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Valentine throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snapp's waist but Snapp gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Valentine off to one side.
Snapp's corner calls for a 1-2. Snapp obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Snapp throws a right hand that Valentine ducks under and follows up with a left that Valentine also avoids with ease.
Valentine looks for a takedown but Snapp sprawls well.
Valentine is breathing heavily.
Snapp scores with the left hand. Valentine knows he should have avoided that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Snapp avoids the head kick by Valentine.

Valentine clinches up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Valentine lands with a light punch inside.
A head punch on the inside from Snapp fails to land.
Snapp is trying to break the clinch but Valentine has him pressed against the cage.
Snapp working aggressively here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Valentine.
Valentine blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Valentine blocks an uppercut.
Valentine lands a shoulder strike.
Snapp has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Snapp is trying to force a seperation but Valentine has the dominant position.
Snapp wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valentine has him pressed against the cage.
Snapp is looking to break free of the clinch but Valentine has double underhooks.

Valentine jumps into guard, dragging Snapp to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Valentine is trying to control the position but Snapp postures up.
Snapp wants to get up but he can't break Valentine's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Greg Valentine wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Nice uppercut there from Snapp.
Valentine throws a series of punches but Snapp avoids them all with ease.
Snapp dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Snapp scores with a jab to the head.
Valentine takes one to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snapp cracks Valentine with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Snapp is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Valentine had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snapp loads up on a big right hand but Valentine slips the punch.
Snapp misses with a looping right.
Bob Snapp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Snapp connects with a right hand. Valentine shakes it off.

and Snapp counters with a crisp right that sends Valentine to the canvas! Snapp follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
