Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masato Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bj Wizard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiyama kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fallen Army - GRV Music. Bj Wizard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wizard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wizard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Wizard wants to finish this one by submission but Akiyama is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wizard.

Wizard swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Akiyama is now in Wizard's guard. A big mistake from Wizard there, giving up the dominant position!
Akiyama wants to get up but he can't break Wizard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wizard has control of Akiyama's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Akiyama regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Wizard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Akiyama to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Akiyama shrugs it off.

Wizard jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Akiyama is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Akiyama and Wizard has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
