Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pj Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Guillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Guillard takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Penn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn looks up at the clock and then as Guillard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Penn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guillard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Penn cracks Guillard with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Penn gets to mount! Guillard was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Penn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Penn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Guillard turns into him and now he's in Penn's guard.

Penn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Penn postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Guillard is out cold - huge knockout for Penn!
