Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leo Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Stones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stones has chosen "Angry Mob Justice" - The Acacia Strain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Leo Karhu had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leo Karhu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Damien Stones! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stones blocks a leg kick. Stones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stones shoots for a takedown but Karhu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Karhu throws a low kick, looking for Stones's leg but Stones calmly moves out of range. Stones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Karhu. A choreographed right hand from Karhu misses the target. Stones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Stones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Stones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Karhu tries to avoid it but Stones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Karhu to the ground. Karhu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Stones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stones throws a series of punches but Karhu avoids them all with ease. Karhu throws a jab when Stones was well out of range. Good work by Karhu as he checks the leg kick. Stones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Karhu misses with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Karhu. Stones takes the fight into the clinch. Karhu wants to break free but Stones has control.
Stones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stones lands with an uppercut that bounces Karhu off the cage and back into rage. Stones shoots for a double leg takedown but Karhu sprawls well. He's pushed Stones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Leo Karhu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Stones. Karhu misses with a lunging right hand
and Stones counters by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Karhu.
Stones takes a swing at Karhu's ribcage but misses. Karhu checks a leg kick nicely. Leo Karhu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Karhu throws a leg kick but Stones moved away. Karhu tries to clinch but Stones is having none of it. Karhu thows a body shot but no joy. Karhu scores with a nice right hand.

Leo Karhu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stones takes a swing at Karhu's ribcage but misses. Karhu misses with a series of wild punches.

Karhu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Karhu pushes Stones up against the cage in a clinch. Karhu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Karhu is trying to break the clinch but Stones has him pressed against the cage. Karhu tries to break the clinch but Stones is controlling the position. Stones manages to break the clinch.
Stones ducks under a wild hook from Karhu. Karhu throws a big shot that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karhu misses with a double jab
and Stones counters by clinching up. Karhu tries to break the clinch but Stones is controlling the position. Stones breaks from the clinch.
Stones lands a two punch combo.
Karhu misses with a hook. Stones ducked under it nicely. Stones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Stones looks gassed! Karhu wants to slow Stones down by chopping away at his legs. A shot to de liver by Karhu. Beautiful body shot. Stones fails in his attempt to clinch. Karhu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stones defending well as Karhu loads up on a big left hand. Karhu sizes up Stones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Karhu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Stones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karhu pinned against the cage. Karhu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Karhu thows a body shot but no joy. A jab from Karhu misses. Karhu misses with a head kick.
Stones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karhu circles away. Stones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Karhu fakes the leg kick and cracks Stones in the body. Stones walks into a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stones lands a jab-cross combination. Stones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Karhu throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Stones to counter with a crisp jab. Stones shoots in and drives through. Karhu sprawls well. Stones moves in looking to clinch but Karhu pushes him off. Karhu misses with a double jab
letting Stones counter with a right hand.
Karhu is rocked! Stones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Oh Karhu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stones is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Karhu flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Karhu is out cold! Stones holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Damien Stones!
