Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Romine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simeon Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grundy has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romine darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A punch combination from Grundy misses.
Romine clobbers Grundy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Romine circles away from the clinch attempt.
Romine dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Grundy is looking to clinch.
Romine darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Romine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Romine moves into range and connects with a jab.
Romine thuds his right hand into Grundy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Grundy on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Romine throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romine lands with a straight right. Grundy didn't see that one coming.
Grundy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Grundy shoots in looking for a takedown. Romine tries to sprawl out of it but Grundy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Grundy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Romine to score with a decent uppercut.

Grundy shoots in and drives through. Romine sprawls well.
Thomas Romine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simeon Grundy.
Grundy tries to clinch but Romine is having none of it.
Grundy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Romine tries to avoid it but Grundy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Romine to the ground. Romine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grundy fails to land the takedown.

Romine's jab looks to have found its range, popping Grundy under the eye.
Thomas Romine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Romine throws a right hand that Grundy ducks under and follows up with a left that Grundy also avoids with ease.

Grundy takes the fight into the clinch.

Grundy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Romine drops back, looking for a kneebar! Grundy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Grundy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Grundy!
Romine tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grundy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
