Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying James's choice of entrance music: It's Amazing by Kanye West. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander James! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James thows a left - swing and a miss! Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away. A punch lands to the side of Parker 's head but he takes it in his stride. James pushing out the jab but it's not landing. James keeps the fight on the outside. James connects with a single shot there. James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
James missing with a left hand there. Parker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. James misses with an uppercut
and Parker counters with an inside leg kick. James jabbing away but nothing is landing. James thuds his right hand into Parker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Alexander James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James just misses with a punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. James fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parker shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. James lands with an uppercut that bounces Parker off the cage and back into range. A big right from James misses. James looks to land a right hand but Parker moved out of range. James rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away. Alexander James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. James throws a poor cross that misses
and Parker counters with a three punch combo that has James backing up. James nods at Parker to acknowledge the strikes. James throws a hook to the side of Parker's head but Parker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. James misses with a looping right. Parker defending well as James loads up on a big left hand. James throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Parker counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker slips under a jab. Parker tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. James throws a right hand that misses
and Parker counters with a shoot takedown. James fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Parker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James wants to get back to his feet but Parker is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Parker stops James from standing up. James keeping full guard, as Parker tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker is looking to work some ground and pound but James has wrist control. Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Parker advances to half guard. Parker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Parker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Parker. Parker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Parker. Parker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker is looking for a kimura but James is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parker to get the leverage. Parker lands strikes from half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James is staying active underneath Parker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Parker will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
James swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. James lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A nice leg kick lands there from Parker. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A big left from James misses. James throws a wild combination but nothing lands. James misses with a right hand and Parker counters with a lovely shot to the body. James clobbers Parker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. James scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Parker doesn't seem bothered though. James throws a right and a left that Parker avoids nicely. Parker avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Parker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
James connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker slips a jab from James. Parker has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.

James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. James throws a lazy uppercut
and Parker counters with an outside leg kick.
Parker blocks a jab. James swings for the body but Parker moves out of range.

and Parker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now. Parker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Parker throws an elbow that misses. James uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parker's guard. Nice move by James!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parker unloads with some shots from mount but James bucks and avoids them well.
Parker throwing strikes but James recovers to half guard. A much better position. Parker trying to control from James's half guard. James has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Parker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. Bruce Parker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Parker throwing strikes from guard but James blocks nicely. James working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Parker. James is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parker is controlling him. Parker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bruce Parker. James thuds his right hand into Parker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Parker tries to clinch up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James cracks Parker with a right hand to the side of the head. James misses with a left hand and Parker counters with a nice double leg into side control. James won't be happy with that. Parker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parker off to one side. James misses with a straight left. James lands an overhand right. James lands a lovely overhand right. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Parker scores with a head kick. James tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. James's corner calls for a 1-2. James obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. James throws a hook but Parker blocks it. James throws out a loose jab but Parker uses good head movement to avoid it. James checks a leg kick nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. James bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Parker is rocked! James might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. James dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! James pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Parker seems to have got his legs back now. Parker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. James swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Parker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. James looks to land a right hand but Parker moved out of range. James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from James misses. James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. James jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
James throws a jab when Parker was well out of range. James throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker rushes James and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. James has a couple of punches blocked by Parker.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James breaks from the clinch.
Alexander James seems to be getting the better of the standup. James throws a combination that misses and Parker counters with a straight right hand. James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Parker pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Parker thuds a left hand into James's body. Parker lunges at James with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by James's hand. James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. James fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Parker counters with a nice double leg into side control. James won't be happy with that. Parker trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. Parker in side control, throwing shots but James defends.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well. Parker goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, James has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Parker but great work by James. This has been an exciting period of action! James decides to take the fight back to the feet. Bruce Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James misses with a looping right. Alexander James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James looks to land a left hand but Parker moved out of range nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Parker has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
