Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Naldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicky Mazzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazzio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thunderstruck AC / DC. Nicky Mazzio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uriel Naldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicky Mazzio! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naldo tries to sprawl but Mazzio drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mazzio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mazzio looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Mazzio is looking to pass Naldo's guard but actually Naldo recovers to full guard. Mazzio trying to control the position from guard on top but Naldo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mazzio passes Naldo's left leg - he's now in half guard. Mazzio is keen to just control but Naldo is a slippery customer. Mazzio working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
It looks like Uriel Naldo has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Naldo is looking to escape. Mazzio working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nice strikes from Mazzio there.
Uriel Naldo's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mazzio missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Naldo is trying to stand up here but Mazzio is controlling him well. Mazzio is looking for a kimura but Naldo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mazzio to get the leverage. Mazzio prevents Naldo from standing back up.
Mazzio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Naldo keeps working. Mazzio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Naldo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Mazzio moves nicely into side control. Mazzio landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mazzio is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Naldo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mazzio gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Naldo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mazzio lets go of the hold and Naldo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nicky Mazzio! A less than humble Nicky Mazzio misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
