Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mett Bahcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bahcher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bahcher throws a series of punches but Richardson moves out of range.

Richardson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bahcher's half guard.
Richardson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bahcher wants to get back to full guard.
Richardson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bahcher pushes Richardson off looking to stand but Richardson dives back in and keeps control.

Bahcher should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bahcher is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Richardson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richardson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bahcher to get to his feet.
Richardson shoots in looking for a takedown. Bahcher tries to sprawl out of it but Richardson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bahcher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Richardson swings for the body but Bahcher moves out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bahcher misses with a looping right.
Richardson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bahcher as he avoids it easily.

Richardson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bahcher to the ground. Richardson is now in Bahcher's guard.

Richardson gets to his feet. Bahcher looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Richardson feints and as Bahcher raises his hands in defense, Richardson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Richardson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bahcher paws at him with a jab and circles away.
John Richardson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Richardson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bahcher defends it nicely.

Bahcher will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Bahcher counters with a head kick. That will keep Richardson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John Richardson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
You get the feeling that Bahcher really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Richardson throws a sloppy strike and Bahcher uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Bahcher has ended up in Richardson's guard.
Bahcher would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Richardson pulls Bahcher in close to his closed guard and prevents Bahcher from doing any damage or advancing position.

Richardson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Richardson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bahcher is now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richardson is trying to control but Bahcher passes into side control!
Richardson is not content to let Bahcher control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Mett Bahcher.
