Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Talpas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charley Dumont!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talpas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dumont was well out of range. Poor timing from Talpas.
Talpas fails with the takedown

and Dumont counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Talpas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dumont pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dumont tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Talpas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dumont closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

and Dumont counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dumont.

Dumont stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Talpas swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Charley Dumont showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Charley Dumont hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Dumont has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Talpas is proving hard to escape from.
