Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between CJ Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bongo Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson's entrance music is 2pac & Dr.Dre - California Love. A fine choice. Bass has chosen Bad Man by Skillinjah as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CJ Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bongo Bass! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bass.
A jab from Bass does it's job there. Bass scores with a head kick. Johnson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Bass throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson. Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bass moves out of range as Johnson throws a body kick.
Bass throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range. Bass is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Bass throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson. Johnson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bass tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bass misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bass takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bass did well to prevent Johnson getting side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bass regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Johnson. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bass is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnson connects with a decent elbow. Johnson scores with punches from side control. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Bass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bass tries to buck Johnson off but Johnson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson working the head and body with strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bass, who protects the arm well. Johnson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bass is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bass is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
