Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anatoli Valutchko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Per Fekt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valutchko comes to the cage accompanied by Gimn Sovetskogo Sojuza. Fekt has chosen Ack Sundbyberg as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Anatoli Valutchko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Per Fekt!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fekt throws a sloppy body shot
and Valutchko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fekt throws out a loose jab but Valutchko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fekt misses the jab.
Valutchko slips a straight right by Fekt.
Valutchko slips under a jab.
Fekt thuds his right hand into Valutchko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Valutchko scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Per Fekt has been cut.
Valutchko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fekt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fekt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Valutchko manages to avoid it.
Valutchko misses with a hook to the body
and Fekt counters with an inside leg kick.
Valutchko slips a jab from Fekt.

Valutchko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fekt pinned against the cage. Fekt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A chopping leg kick lands by Fekt.
Valutchko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Fekt throws a leg kick which misses Valutchko's front leg but catches the back leg as Valutchko tries to avoid it.
Valutchko chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fekt can pounce on him.

Fekt tries to bum rush Valutchko with a series of wild strikes but Valutchko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Per Fekt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Valutchko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fekt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Valutchko. Fekt does a little dance to reset his feet.

Valutchko shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fekt is trying to defend but Valutchko finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fekt is controlling Valutchko's trapped leg to prevent Valutchko from advancing to side control.
Fekt wants to improve his position but Valutchko is controlling well.
Fekt wants to control but Valutchko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fekt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valutchko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valutchko tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fekt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Valutchko stalling away here and it's allowed Fekt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Valutchko postures up in Fekt's guard and throws a big left but Fekt blocks it.
Fekt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Valutchko!
Fekt throwing strikes here but Valutchko is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Valutchko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fekt lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fekt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Per Fekt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fekt throws the left hand but Valutchko avoids the punch easily.
Valutchko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Good work by Valutchko as he checks the leg kick.
Fekt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Valutchko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fekt scrambles back to his feet.
Fekt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Valutchko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fekt attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Fekt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Valutchko manages to avoid it.

Per Fekt seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fekt throws a series of strikes that have Valutchko backpedaling.
Valutchko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fekt was well out of range. Poor timing from Valutchko.

and Valutchko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fekt's guard.
Fekt wants to sweep here but Valutchko controlling him for the moment.
Fekt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Valutchko wants to pass the guard but Fekt is keeping the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
