Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Perrin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kullervo Pershiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perrin Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kullervo Pershiki! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pershiki swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Pershiki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pershiki throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. Pershiki should have avoided that one. Pershiki tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target. Pershiki throws a combination that misses and Jones counters with a stiff right hand. Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pershiki.
Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. Pershiki should have avoided that one. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Pershiki. Pershiki scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pershiki as he jumps to the side. Jones lands with a right hand. Pershiki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Pershiki.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws a shot from downtown. Pershiki moves away and avoids it. Pershiki lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts. Pershiki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pershiki's head. Jones clinches with his opponent.
Pershiki gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pershiki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jones prevents Pershiki from getting back to his feet. Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones stops Pershiki from standing up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pershiki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jones chips away with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pershiki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pershiki keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Pershiki wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Pershiki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pershiki, up you get! Pershiki throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Pershiki walks into a straight right hand from Jones. Pershiki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones loads up on a big right hand but Pershiki slips the punch. Pershiki leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Pershiki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Perrin Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a hook but Pershiki blocks it. Pershiki thumps Jones with a low kick. Pershiki slips a straight right by Jones. Pershiki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Pershiki off the cage and back into range. Pershiki drops his hands momentarily and Jones takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jones missing with a left hand there. Pershiki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pershiki throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges.

Pershiki is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? Pershiki throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. Pershiki seems to have recovered his senses. Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pershiki under the eye. Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones prevents Pershiki from escaping the position. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pershiki has escaped the position, nice work there. Pershiki defending against the ground and pound. Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones tightens his grip and picks Pershiki up, before dumping him to the ground. Pershiki manages to land in guard. Pershiki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pershiki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him. Pershiki keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Pershiki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pershiki manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Pershiki's guard. Pershiki is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Pershiki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones stands and steps away. Pershiki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones jumps guard.
Pershiki is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him. Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pershiki defends it easily. Pershiki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jones looking for a triangle here. Pershiki is fighting it but it looks tight! Jones pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Pershiki is tapping out - this one is all over!
