Bigfoot Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Roberto Hernando's chin.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a jab when Hernando was well out of range.
Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Hernando's head back.
It looks like Roberto Hernando has been cut.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Hernando was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva throws a lazy right hand but Hernando sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hernando slips a jab from Silva.
Silva catches Hernando with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Hernando pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hernando just misses with a elbow thrown towards Silva's brow.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hernando tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva cracks Hernando with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hernando throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Silva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Silva connects with a single shot there.
Hernando misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hernando tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Hernando slips under a jab.
Silva misses with a hook.
Hernando takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hernando motions for Silva to come forward. Hernando throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Silva misses with a right hand
and Hernando counters with a stiff right hand.
Silva might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hernando throws a low kick but Silva avoids it.
Nice defenses there by Hernando.
Silva connects with a body shot.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Hernando counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hernando closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Silva cracks Hernando with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hernando throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hernando moves away from the strike by Silva.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hernando missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silva jabs Hernando right on the nose. Hernando blinks but takes it well.
Hernando feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Bigfoot Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hernando. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Silva misses with a left hand
and Hernando counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva throws a hook but Hernando blocks it.
Silva is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hernando had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.
Hernando blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva looks to land a combination but Hernando avoids it well.
Silva just misses with a punch to the body.
Hernando lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hernando.
Hernando tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva swings widly with a right hand
and Hernando counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hernando fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva breaks from the clinch.
Hernando throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Silva crashing down! Silva tries to stagger back to his feet but Hernando just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Silva asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Hernando!
