Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Hiramatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Tamad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Hiramatsu!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamad uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hiramatsu.
Tamad slips a jab and a cross from Hiramatsu.
Tamad slips a straight right by Hiramatsu.
Hiramatsu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hiramatsu feints a jab promting Tamad to slip. Hiramatsu then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tamad slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Hiramatsu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tamad's head.
Hiramatsu throws a jab when Tamad was well out of range.
Tamad throws an overhand right that lands on Hiramatsu's shoulder, as Hiramatsu tries to avoid the shot.
Tamad takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hiramatsu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hiramatsu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hiramatsu throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Patrick Hiramatsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big right from Tamad misses.

Hiramatsu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tamad throws out the jab.

Tamad closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hiramatsu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hiramatsu jabs Tamad right on the nose. Tamad blinks but takes it well.

Tamad fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hiramatsu sprawls well initially but Tamad persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tamad thows a huge punch but Hiramatsu dodges it nicely.

Tamad misses with a head shot. Hiramatsu uses the momentum to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tamad passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Tamad works to advance to full mount. Hiramatsu defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tamad cracks Hiramatsu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Tamad has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hiramatsu's face.

Tamad is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hiramatsu can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tamad breaks from Hiramatsu's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Tamad has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hiramatsu's face.
Hiramatsu is desperately trying to improve his position but Tamad has a good base and remains in mount.
Tamad looking to control but Hiramatsu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Tamad is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hiramatsu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hiramatsu wants to control but Tamad is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fight stays on the outside here - Hiramatsu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hiramatsu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Tamad misses the shot to the body.
Hiramatsu misses with an uppercut.
Tamad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hiramatsu moves in looking to clinch but Tamad pushes him off.
Tamad uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hiramatsu.

Hiramatsu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tamad manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hiramatsu walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tamad checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hiramatsu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tamad momentarily.

Hiramatsu looks to throw the jab but Tamad is out of range.
Tamad is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Tamad misses with a wild body shot.
Tamad throws a head kick but Hiramatsu moves out of range.
Hiramatsu thows a left - swing and a miss!
Juan Tamad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tamad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tamad steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hiramatsu.
Tamad avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hiramatsu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hiramatsu works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Patrick Hiramatsu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tamad shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hiramatsu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tamad advances nicely into full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tamad postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Hiramatsu out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Tamad goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
