The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazquez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Shane Velazquez has been cut.
Kongo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Kongo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Velazquez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Oh Velazquez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Velazquez is breathing heavily.
Velazquez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Velazquez seems to have got his legs back now.
Kongo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Velazquez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The fighters circling - Kongo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kongo circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Velazquez to the canvas! Velazquez doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Kongo keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
