Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Crash Archangel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Saku Katsumoto!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsumoto throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Archangel.
Archangel tries to clinch but Katsumoto is having none of it.
Archangel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Katsumoto misses with an attempted mid kick.
Archangel slaps away a takedown attempt from Katsumoto, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck for Archangel with that takedown attempt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Archangel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Katsumoto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Archangel's waist but Archangel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Katsumoto off to one side.
Katsumoto goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Archangel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Archangel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Katsumoto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Archangel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Katsumoto is on top in guard.
Archangel is trying to control the position but Katsumoto postures up.

A close second round but Saku Katsumoto will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Katsumoto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Archangel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Katsumoto has instead reached around Archangel's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Katsumoto arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
