Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Stark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John White!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fails with the takedown.
Stark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but White circles away quickly and effectively.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
White fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tony Stark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John White.
White has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stark finds it's way round the side to connect with White's head.
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
White moves out of range of the body kick from Stark.
Stark comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Stark as he connects with a hook.
Stark throws a push kick but White slaps the foot to one side.
Stark throws a solid leg kick but White takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Stark.
Donk. Stark catches White right on the button with a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stark as he jumps to the side.
John White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stark misses with a two punch combination.
Stark scores with a hook to the body. White takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
No luck for White with that takedown attempt.
White looks gassed!
White shoots in looking for a takedown. Stark tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Stark closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Stark connects with a crisp jab.
White with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stark to score with a decent uppercut.
Tony Stark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A combination from Stark does no damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stark throws a one two combo.
Sloppy strikes from Stark. Those never looked like landing.
Stark misses with the combination.
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
White takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stark throws a combination. White tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Donk. Stark catches White right on the button with a cross.
Stark defends well against a solid takedown attempt from White.
Stark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stark scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
White blocks a low kick nicely.
Stark rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but White moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stark throws a combination. White tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stark works over White's head and body with a nice combination.
Stark lands a left and a right that send White crashing to the mat, dazed. Stark thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
White is rocked!
White drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
White is still on wobbly legs! Can Stark finish him?
Stark ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stark throws a right hand that White ducks under and follows up with a left that White also avoids with ease.
White loses concentration momentarily and Stark pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! White crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Stark finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tony Stark!
Tony Stark bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
