Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Takatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Hermiston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hermiston is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rusty Cage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky Takatu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Hermiston! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hermiston lands a head shot. Hermiston scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Takatu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takatu stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hermiston tries to clinch up but Takatu circles away and keeps his distance. Takatu tries to clinch but fails miserably and Hermiston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Takatu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Takatu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hermiston tries to avoid it but Takatu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hermiston to the ground. Hermiston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hermiston misses with a takedown attempt and Takatu counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Takatu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hermiston is controlling Takatu's posture. Hermiston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takatu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hermiston keeping moving, preventing Takatu from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hermiston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hermiston keeping full guard, as Takatu tries to pass. Takatu postures up.
Takatu slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Takatu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hermiston seems keen to control Takatu's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hermiston wants to stand but Takatu is controlling the position. Takatu trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hermiston's guard. Takatu is breathing heavily. Hermiston is trying to control the position but Takatu postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hermiston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hermiston seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takatu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hermiston prevents Takatu from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Takatu is looking for a sweep. Hermiston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Takatu is trying to maintain the position but Hermiston is very close to passing his half guard. Hermiston wants to control but Takatu is keeping him busy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A head kick lands from Hermiston that sends Takatu to the canvas. Takatu tries to scramble back to his feet but Hermiston brings him back down into side control.
Takatu is rocked! Hermiston lands a nice forearm strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Andrew Hermiston will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hermiston fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Takatu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hermiston closes the distance looking for a takedown. Takatu stuffs it but Hermiston still has hold of him. Hermiston picks Takatu up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Hermiston slams Takatu to the floor and that's really hurt Takatu - he doesn't know where he is! Hermiston throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Hermiston!
