Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Christian Island (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shazaam McDaniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Island might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to party in usa. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Island closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McDaniels quickly recovers to half guard.
McDaniels is trying to stand up here but Island is controlling him well.
Island is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
McDaniels wants to get back to his feet.

McDaniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Island. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Island looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
McDaniels is trying to stand up here but Island is controlling him well.
Island takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

McDaniels pushes Island off looking to stand but Island dives back in and keeps control.
Island working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

McDaniels wants to get back to striking at distance but Island won't allow it.
Island tightens his grip and picks McDaniels up, before dumping him to the ground. McDaniels manages to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDaniels pushes Island off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Island gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Island tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but McDaniels is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Island buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Island!! Island is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. McDaniels throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shazaam McDaniels!
