The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ed tries for a takedown but Geerts sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheers as Geerts lands an impressive looking overhand right. ed doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Paul ed has been cut.
ed moves into the clinch successfully.

ed tries to score a body lock takedown but Geerts shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dave Geerts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul ed.

ed goes for a takedown attempt but Geerts pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Geerts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Geerts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ed's waist but ed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Geerts off to one side.

Geerts pounces like a tiger and cracks ed with a vicious hook! ed is down but not out! Geerts follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
