Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jayne Cobb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobb's entrance music is The Hero of Canton. A fine choice. Jayne Cobb could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Howard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jayne Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Howard!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb throws a right hand that Howard ducks under and follows up with a left that Howard also avoids with ease.
Howard moves to clinch but Cobb breaks away
and Cobb counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Howard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A right hook to the body lands for Cobb.
Howard blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Howard will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cobb up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Cobb tries to score a body lock takedown but Howard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cobb darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cobb connects with a nice short shot to Howard's temple.
Howard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cobb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.
