Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjj Spar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Brealey!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brealey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Spar throws a body kick that misses.
Brealey avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Brealey lands with a thumping leg kick.
Spar takes one on the button.
Alex Brealey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spar slips a straight right by Brealey.
Spar slips under a jab from Brealey.
Spar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brealey to score with a decent uppercut.
Spar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brealey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Spar scrambles back to his feet.
Spar shoots in for a takedown but Brealey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Brealey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Spar jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brealey avoids a kick to the body.

Brealey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Spar throws a jab but it's blocked by Brealey.

Spar takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Brealey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Brealey lets loose with a powerful body kick. Spar will feel that in the morning.
Brealey avoids a kick to the body.
Brealey moves forwards but Spar connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brealey jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brealey misses with a body shot.
Brealey lands with a thumping leg kick.
Brealey lands a slapping body shot.

Brealey looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Brealey slips a jab from Spar.
Brealey misses with a body shot.
Spar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brealey manages to avoid it.
Brealey misses with an uppercut.
Spar throws a hook but Brealey blocks it.

Brealey takes the fight into the clinch.
Brealey throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Spar blocks it with crossed arms.
Brealey tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Spar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Brealey lands a knee to the body.
Brealey connects with a nasty looking knee right to Spar's face.
Spar lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brealey backwards.
Spar is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Spar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brealey blocks a body shot from Spar.
Brealey lands a nice shot to the body.
Brealey lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brealey scores a nice knee to the body.
Spar tries to circle away but Brealey has him pinned against the cage.
Spar takes a shot to the head.
Spar tries a body shot but Brealey blocks it.
Brealey keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Spar's efforts to push away.
Brealey tries to land knees in the clinch but Spar avoids the damage to the body.
Brealey lands a hook that snaps the head of Spar backwards.
Spar stalling the fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brealey lands an elbow that stopped Spar in his tracks for a moment.
A nice left hand lands by Spar.

Spar jumps guard and drags Brealey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Spar pushes a forearm under Brealey's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brealey is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bjj Spar!
