Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samurai Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vernon Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samurai Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vernon Turner!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Turner thuds a left hand into Jack's body.
Jack stuffs the takedown.
Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jack moves away.
Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Horrible takedown by Turner or perhaps it was just good defense by Jack which made him look bad.
Jack throws a sloppy head kick and Turner moves out of range easily.
Jack tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Turner is able to avoid easily.
Turner takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Turner connects with a body shot that sends Jack's belly button to the back.
Turner misses with a looping left.
Turner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Turner checks the leg kick.
Jack ducks under a wild hook from Turner.
Jack walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Turner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Turner checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Turner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jack.
Jack closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jack swivels and escapes.
Samurai Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vernon Turner.

A swing and a miss from Turner.
Jack is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Turner throws a body punch but Jack moves out of range.
Turner throws the left hand but Jack avoids the punch easily.
Turner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jack.

Jack throws a quick inside leg kick.
Turner thows a body shot but no joy.
Turner swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Turner shoots in looking for a takedown but Jack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Turner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turner.
Jack throws a sloppy head kick and Turner moves out of range easily.
Turner misses with an uppercut. Jack saw that one coming.
Vernon Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack throws a solid leg kick but Turner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jack.
Turner is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jack rather than just go for the knockout.

Turner shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jack throws a front kick aimed at Turner's knee but Turner avoids it well.

Turner connects with a looping right hand.
Turner moves out of range of the body kick from Jack.
Turner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jack's head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jack lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Turner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Turner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jack throws a low kick but it's checked well by Turner.
Turner lands a right hook to the body.
Jack takes one on the button.

Turner throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jack tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Turner is in Jack's guard.
Turner stops Jack from standing up.
Turner keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jack's head.
Jack has control of Turner's left arm, preventing Turner from doing any damage.
Jack is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turner is controlling him.
Jack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jack is looking to sweep but instead, Turner has passed into half guard.
Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Turner throwing shots but Jack is blocking nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner is nestled in close to Jack, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Turner is pressing down on Jack's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jack is holding on for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Turner prevents Jack from improving his position.
Turner moves nicely into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jack wants to get back to his feet.
Jack dodges the ground and pound from Turner.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vernon Turner dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jack wants it to stay on the feet.
Jack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turner.

Jack lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jack pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turner is defended easily by Jack.
Jack takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Jack takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jack moves away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jack. That's going to slow Turner down.
Turner lands with a nice body punch.
Turner lands a slapping body shot.
Vernon Turner seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Turner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Turner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jack is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Turner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Jack is desperately trying to improve his position but Turner has a good base and remains in mount.
Turner lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jack wants to control but Turner passes into side.
Turner scores with a couple of short elbows.
Turner fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Turner throws an elbow but Jack slips to the side and avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Turner seems to be working for a kimura but Jack defends the submission attempt.

Turner thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jack's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vernon Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Turner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jack enables Turner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jack manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vernon Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Turner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
