The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Normayen keeps Takamura at a distance using the push kick.
Van Normayen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takamura.
Van Normayen lands a head kick. Takamura smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Mamoru Takamura has been cut.
Van Normayen lands a nice looking kick to the body. Takamura takes a step back to recover.
Ludwig Van Normayen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Normayen cracks Takamura with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Takamura with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Van Normayen to score with a decent uppercut.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Van Normayen! Takamura is out on his feet! Van Normayen rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Takamura is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Takamura is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ludwig Van Normayen!
Ludwig Van Normayen gave a mention to Steel Penn's Laundry 93% in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
