Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Parts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Boris Brejcha - Openminded. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricardo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Parts! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Parts throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it. Gracie tries to clinch and Parts counters by moving into the clinch. Gracie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gracie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Parts is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Parts is looking to escape. Gracie passes to full mount! Gracie looking to finish with strikes here!
Gracie thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Gracie goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Parts turns into him and now he's in Gracie's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parts bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard. Parts wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard. Parts controls from within his opponent's guard. Gracie wants to sweep here but Parts controlling him for the moment. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Parts is aware though and is defending well. Gracie looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet. Parts decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get! Gracie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A cross from Parts lands. Gracie misses with a body shot.
Parts has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Parts after a bit of a struggle. Parts stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parts prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Parts prevents it.
Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Parts pulls him back up using the underhooks. Gracie wants to take the fight to the mat but Parts manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Parts creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Parts can't find room to land a body shot as Gracie controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short left from Parts. Parts scores with an uppercut up the middle. Gracie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Parts avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Parts.
Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie tries to pull guard but Parts holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.

Parts lands a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Gracie jumps guard but Parts turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Parts lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gracie backwards. Parts lands an uppercut. Gracie landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Gracie has picked Parts up - he's going for a ride! Gracie dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parts is looking to escape. Parts gets back to full guard.
Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Parts dives on top into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parts controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking for a triangle here but Parts uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Parts is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is looking for a sweep. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gracie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Gracie is not content to let Parts control the position. Gracie tries to get to full guard but Parts has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ricardo Gracie will probably get the nod. That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A nice leg kick lands there from Parts. Gracie throws a head kick that misses and Parts finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Parts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Parts swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Parts moves into range and clinches up with Gracie. Gracie manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Parts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Parts looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gracie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Parts knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Parts pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.

Ricardo Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Parts moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parts throws a big elbow that misses. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Parts's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Parts won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Gracie is looking to sweep but instead, Parts has passed into half guard.
Gracie tries to roll over but Parts keeps him under control. Gracie is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Gracie is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parts's guard. Parts looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parts works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gracie stands and throws Parts's legs to the side, diving into side control. Parts pushes Gracie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gracie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Gracie misses with the ground and pound. Parts regains half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Parts is trying to stand up here but Gracie is controlling him well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Parts tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ricardo Gracie will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A swing and a miss from Gracie. Gracie loads up on a big right hand but Parts slips the punch. Parts stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Parts clinches. Gracie prevents a body shot from Parts. Parts gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gracie.
Parts makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Parts lands with a light punch inside. Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Parts pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parts gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parts tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Parts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard. Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Parts escapes and gets back to his feet. The fighters circle momentarily. Parts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Parts cracks the inside of Gracie's front leg. Gracie scores with a takedown into Parts's guard. Gracie won't allow Parts to sweep him here. Parts manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie is looking for a triangle but Parts pushes his legs off easily.

Parts is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Parts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Parts wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anthony Parts wasn't active enough on the ground. Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing. Anthony Parts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ricardo Gracie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ricardo Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie checks a leg kick nicely. No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt. Parts looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well. Parts pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch. Parts tries a body shot but Gracie blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Parts jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ricardo Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parts avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gracie checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Parts lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Parts stuffs the takedown. Parts moves into the clinch. Parts lands a nice uppercut. Parts lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gracie backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Parts tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parts lands a body shot in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Parts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
