Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Langdon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pawel Ufcowski jr! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Ufcowski jr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ufcowski jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Langdon. Ufcowski jr has managed to clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ufcowski jr. Langdon is trying to drag Ufcowski jr to the mat but Ufcowski jr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Langdon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Langdon has Ufcowski jr pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ufcowski jr manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Langdon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ufcowski jr lands with a short head shot on the inside. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ufcowski jr. Langdon prevents a body shot from Ufcowski jr. Ufcowski jr prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ufcowski jr lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Ufcowski jr throws a punch but it's blocked by Langdon. Langdon drags the fight down to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Langdon wants to sweep but no luck. Ufcowski jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ufcowski jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Langdon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Langdon keeping full guard, as Ufcowski jr tries to pass.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pawel Ufcowski jr wasn't active enough on the ground. Horrible takedown by Langdon or perhaps it was just good defense by Ufcowski jr which made him look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Langdon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ufcowski jr as he avoids it easily. Langdon moves out of range of the strikes. Langdon misses with a takedown attempt and Ufcowski jr counters by clinching up. Ufcowski jr lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ufcowski jr lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Langdon backwards. Ufcowski jr is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. The crowd are getting on Ufcowski jr's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Ufcowski jr pushes Langdon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Ufcowski jr is pressed up against the cage. Langdon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ufcowski jr down to the mat. Ufcowski jr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Robert Langdon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ufcowski jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ufcowski jr scores with a jab to the jaw.
Langdon is rocked!
It looks like Robert Langdon has been cut. Langdon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ufcowski jr. A slow jab from Ufcowski jr misses its intended target. Ufcowski jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Langdon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Langdon misses with a takedown enabling Ufcowski jr to counter with a crisp jab. Oh Langdon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Langdon throws an off balance right hand
and Ufcowski jr counters with a huge left! Langdon is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ufcowski jr isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Langdon from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ufcowski jr!
