Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson's entrance music is Eye of the Tiger. A fine choice. Bennett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sum 41 - Fat Lip kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orlando Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Bennett! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson gets caught napping as Bennett dives in and scores a takedown. Tyson manages to retain guard. Bennett with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Bennett is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bennett with a flurry of punches that miss. Tyson being controlled here, momentarily. Bennett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tyson keeping moving, preventing Bennett from controlling successfully. Bennett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tyson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett looking to pass the guard. Bennett is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bennett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bennett controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Bennett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bennett stuffs the takedown. Tyson shoots and misses and Bennett counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bennett stays in close to Tyson's body and controls the position. Bennett throwing strikes from guard but Tyson blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bennett pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyson is keeping the position for now. Tyson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bennett is aware though and is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bennett controls from within his opponent's guard. Bennett wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.

Tyson misses with a takedown attempt and Bennett counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bennett. Bennett tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyson is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett passes Tyson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bennett has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bennett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It looks like Bennett might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Bennett dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tyson with a poor takedown and Bennett counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tyson! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bennett content just to control the position here. Bennett throws some wild stikes that Tyson manages to avoid easily.
Bennett controlling the position easily from mount. Jake Bennett has got the better of the ground game so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bennett.
Tyson is looking to improve his position but Bennett isn't that keen on the idea. Bennett throwing strikes here but Tyson is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bennett thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett wants to finish this one by submission but Tyson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bennett. Tyson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bennett tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett working for a guillotine from mount but Tyson is in no mood to give up. Bennett throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Bennett throws a wild left hand from mount and Tyson manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Bennett not doing much here.

Bennett trying to pass the guard but Tyson defending well. Bennett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bennett performing his best blanket impression for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Bennett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bennett advances to half guard. Bennett wants to control but Tyson is keeping him busy. Bennett seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tyson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bennett throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett looking to sit in guard and control but Tyson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bennett wants to hit a switch here but Tyson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bennett there! Bennett wants to control but Tyson is having none of it. Tyson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bennett to take his back! Bennett controlling Tyson 's hands. Bennett trying to control the hands but Tyson won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Bennett moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bennett manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett misses with a head shot. Bennett dominating with strikes here. Bennett throws some wild stikes that Tyson manages to avoid easily.
Bennett goes for an armbar but Tyson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tyson. Bennett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyson is aware though and is defending well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bennett is on top in guard.
Jake Bennett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. This has been an exciting period of action!
