Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Downy Frowny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Downy Frowny has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Downy Frowny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buster Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frowny throws a jab when Anderson was well out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Frowny enables Anderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Frowny manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Anderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Buster Anderson.
Frowny tries to clinch
and Anderson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Anderson.
Anderson misses with a punch on the inside.
Frowny throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Anderson blocks it with crossed arms.
Frowny tries to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling the position.
Frowny tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Anderson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Frowny knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anderson in particular looking to stall.

Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Anderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Anderson is taking a breather. Frowny says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Buster Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Buster Anderson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Anderson is trying to break the clinch but Frowny has him pressed against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Anderson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Anderson jumps guard but Frowny turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Downy Frowny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buster Anderson.
Anderson has Frowny pressed against the cage, preventing Frowny from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Anderson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Frowny is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Frowny is pressed up against the cage. Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Frowny down to the mat. Frowny avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Anderson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Frowny, up you get!

Anderson is looking for a kimura but Frowny is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Anderson to get the leverage.
Frowny is trying to escape back to his feet but Anderson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's Frowny get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Frowny circles away.
Frowny throws a push kick but Anderson slaps the foot to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buster Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Frowny stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet.
Frowny tries a head kick but it misses.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frowny tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frowny to the ground. Frowny escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Frowny as he jumps to the side.
Downy Frowny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buster Anderson.
Frowny moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.

Anderson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Frowny is forced to tap! Great finish!
