The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magilicuddy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Flairianio shoots in for a takedown but Magilicuddy shows good takedown defense.
Magilicuddy fails with an attempt to clinch.
Flairianio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Magilicuddy as he jumps to the side.
Flairianio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Flairianio drops back looking for a leg! Magilicuddy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Magilicuddy manages to kick Flairianio off! Flairianio jumps back into Magilicuddy's guard.
Magilicuddy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flairianio gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Flairianio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Flairianio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Flairianio drops back looking for a leg! Magilicuddy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Magilicuddy manages to kick Flairianio off! Flairianio jumps back into Magilicuddy's guard.

Magilicuddy working for a triangle but Flairianio defends it easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Flairianio swats away the attempt to clinch by Magilicuddy.
Magilicuddy is looking to clinch but Flairianio is avoiding it.
Flairianio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dick Magilicuddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickimardo Flairianio.

and Flairianio counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Magilicuddy wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flairianio uses his free foot to push down on Magilicuddy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Magilicuddy.
Flairianio prevents Magilicuddy from getting the reversal.
Flairianio working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Magilicuddy looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Flairianio! Submission of the night perhaps?
