The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar shoots in for a takedown but Lohmeri shows good takedown defense.
Lohmeri shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lohmeri gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Spar counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lohmeri can't keep his opponent in guard - Spar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Spar works his foot free and advances to mount.
Lohmeri in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spar is landing with some decent strikes but Lohmeri is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

After the fight, Wrestling Spar was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
