Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andy Crow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crow shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Crow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith counters with a nice body kick.
Crow takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Crow is breathing heavily.
Smith connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith delivers a nice body kick.
Crow stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
Crow gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Smith throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Crow's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Smith dives in looking to finish as Crow flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Smith's strikes! Smith is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Crow's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Crow was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
