Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Efreitor Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Read (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Read has chosen Don't Fence Me In as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Efreitor Peter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Read! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peter misses with a body shot.
Peter throws a big shot that misses. Peter moves out of range of the body kick from Read.
Read looks to land a body kick but Peter moved away. A swing and a miss from Peter. Read misses with a hook
and Peter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Peter misses with a punch on the inside.
Read looking to throw knees to the head but Peter is blocking nicely.
Peter throws a punch but it's blocked by Read. Read tries to land a knee to the head but Peter blocks with his arms.
Peter lands a nice uppercut. Read escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mark Read seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Peter cracks Read with a right hand to the side of the head. Read bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Read pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Read lands with a hook. Peter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Read throws a push kick but Peter slaps the foot to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Read.
Peter catches Read with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Read tries to move into range but Peter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Read looks to land a body kick but Peter moved away. Read throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Read throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A slapping body kick lands there for Read. Read ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Read moves in looking to clinch but Peter pushes him off. Peter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Read walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A jab from Peter finds it's way through Read's defenses. Read bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Peter's head. Peter checks a leg kick. Read misses with a body kick. Peter is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Read lands a leg kick that knocks Peter off balance momentarily. Mark Read is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Read throws a shot from downtown. Peter moves away and avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Read avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Peter throws out a powerful jab. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Read, right into the meat.
An inside leg kick lands from Read. Peter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Read.
Read is looking to score with low kicks. Some bone on bone action there as Peter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Peter tests Read's chin there with a solid looking shot. Read pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Read fails with an attempt to clinch.
Read fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Peter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Peter takes a swing at Read's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Read throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Read throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. That kick from Read tenderised Peter's leg. Peter is trying to keep his angry face on. Read throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Peter avoids a kick to the body.
Read throws a head kick but Peter moves out of range.
Peter misses with a body shot.
Read throws a head kick that Peter semi-blocks.
Peter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Read is trying to defend but Peter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Peter slows the pace down in half guard. Peter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Read is refusing to be controlled, as Peter sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Read is looking for a sweep. Peter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Peter content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The ref stands the fighters back up because Efreitor Peter just wasn't active enough. Read walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Peter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Read connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Peter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Read is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Read keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Peter trying to pass the guard but Read defending well. Read is looking to improve his position.
Peter is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Peter wants to control the pace but Read is squirming around nicely.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Peter looking to finish Read with some ground and pound. This is bad for Read! Peter lands a big shot there that rocks Read but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Peter trying to control but Read is having none of it. Read is bucking up trying to escape but Peter cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peter content just to control the position here. Read wants to hold on but Peter pushes him away. Peter controlling his opponent. Peter looking to control but Read is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Read is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Peter has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Read's face.
Peter unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Read wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Peter celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Efreitor Peter! Efreitor Peter seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
