Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Will Messinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Brands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Messinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Timmy Brands! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Messinger fails to land the takedown. Messinger fails with the takedown. Messinger fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Messinger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brands throws an overhand right that lands on Messinger's shoulder, as Messinger tries to avoid the shot. Messinger scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Brands fails to land the takedown. Messinger tries to clinch up. Messinger has his takedown stuffed and Brands counters with a nice double leg into side control. Messinger won't be happy with that. Messinger is breathing heavily. Brands is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Brands's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brands decides to stand back up. Brands steps back and let's Messinger get back to his feet. Messinger looks to clinch and Brands counters with a single leg into guard. Messinger didn't expect that. Brands slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Brands gets to his feet - Messinger follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brands closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Messinger to the mat! Messinger manages to get full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brands wants to stand but Messinger is controlling his posture from full guard. Brands must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Messinger uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Messinger moves into the clinch successfully.
Messinger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Messinger gets underhooks to prevent Brands's takedown attempt.
Messinger has Brands pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brands manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Messinger tries to pull guard but Brands won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brands misses with the head strike.
A short left from Messinger. Messinger tightens his grip and picks Brands up, before dumping him to the ground. Brands manages to land in guard. Brands keeping moving, preventing Messinger from controlling successfully. Brands is pulling down on Messinger's head to control his posture. Brands wants to sweep here but Messinger controlling him for the moment. Brands lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Messinger!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brands scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Brands sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Let's hope that Brands has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brands wants to pass the guard but Messinger is defending well.

Brands is figuring out what he wants to do next. Brands throwing shots but Messinger is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Messinger lands the left hand. Brands circles away from the clinch attempt.
Messinger is looking to clinch. Messinger wants to clinch but Brands slips to the side and Brands counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Messinger's guard now. Messinger controls Brands momentarily but Brands frees himself. Brands sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brands throwing strikes but missing. Brands stays in close to Messinger's body and controls the position. Brands thows a big elbow that misses. Messinger wants to stand but Brands is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brands postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Brands not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Brands tries to free his leg and advance position but Messinger is retaining full guard. Brands decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Messinger, up you get! Messinger moves in looking to clinch but Brands pushes him off. Messinger stalks Brands and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brands's face. Brands staggers backwards, shaken. Messinger fails with the takedown and Brands counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brands content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Messinger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Messinger wants to stand and escape but Brands is having none of it. Messinger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Brands is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brands trying to control the position from guard on top but Messinger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Timmy Brands showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Messinger stalks Brands and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Brands's face. Brands staggers backwards, shaken. Brands shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Brands was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Brands working Messinger over with strikes here. Brands controlling the pace for now. Brands with a couple of short strikes. Brands content just to control the position here. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brands landing punches. Brands tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Messinger is looking to improve his position but Brands isn't that keen on the idea. Brands takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Brands with the ground and pound from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Brands sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Despite being in the dominant position, Timmy Brands just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from Messinger as Brands shoots in. Messinger wants to clinch and Brands counters with a takedown into side control. Brands has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brands has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Messinger shoots and misses and Brands decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Messinger's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Messinger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brands working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Brands showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Timmy Brands has got the better of the ground game so far. Brands trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
