Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hatsu Matsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Lombardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsu comes into the arena with LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It blaring out of the sound system. Lombardo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: From Despair To Where. Hatsu Matsu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Hatsu Matsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Lombardo! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lombardo lands a nice hook to Matsu's body. Matsu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Lombardo takes one on the button. Lombardo looks to land a combination. Matsu sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Hatsu Matsu has been cut. Lombardo ducks under a wild hook from Matsu. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab by Lombardo. Sloppy strikes from Lombardo. Those never looked like landing. A left lands for Matsu. Matsu throws out a leg kick but Lombardo moves out of range and Matsu only half commits. Lombardo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lombardo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Matsu misses with a looping right. Lombardo lands a head kick that stumbles Matsu and the fighters go to the mat.
Matsu is rocked! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Matsu keeping moving, preventing Lombardo from controlling successfully. Oh Matsu is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lombardo looking to pass the guard. Matsu keeping moving, preventing Lombardo from controlling successfully. Matsu seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lombardo cracks Matsu with a solid left hand. Lombardo looking to pass the guard. Lombardo preventing the sweep. Lombardo trying to control but Matsu is working from the bottom. Matsu looking for a sweep. Not yet Matsu, not yet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anthony Lombardo wasn't active enough on the ground. A punch combination from Lombardo misses. Matsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matsu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lombardo in his tracks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsu tries to move into range but Lombardo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Lombardo throws a head kick but Matsu moves out of range.
Lombardo feints a jab promting Matsu to slip. Lombardo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Matsu slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lombardo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Matsu. Lombardo misses with a body shot.
Lombardo misses with a hook. Matsu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lombardo on the side of the head. Matsu scores with a jab to the head.
Matsu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lombardo throws out the jab. Matsu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lombardo throws a combination that misses and Matsu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Matsu throws a jab but it's blocked by Lombardo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lombardo takes one on the button. Lombardo slips under a jab. Lombardo misses with a looping right. Lombardo misses with a head kick.
Hatsu Matsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matsu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Matsu throws a looping overhand right but Lombardo ducks down to avoid it. Matsu slips a straight right by Lombardo. Matsu lands a head shot. Lombardo scores with a jab to the body. Lombardo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Matsu. Matsu is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Lombardo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Matsu to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lombardo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Matsu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Matsu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matsu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Matsu advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matsu lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Matsu working away. Matsu lands a few punches from side control. Lombardo is looking for a sweep. Lombardo gets back to half guard. Matsu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lombardo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lombardo trying to control here.
Lombardo wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matsu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lombardo. Lombardo tries to work over Matsu's front leg with a kick but Matsu checks it. Lombardo misses with a jab, cross combination.

Matsu fails with a takedown attempt. Lombardo misses with a hook. Lombardo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Matsu manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Matsu wants to sweep here but Lombardo controlling him for the moment. Lombardo is in close to Matsu's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lombardo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Matsu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Matsu wants to control but Lombardo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lombardo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lombardo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Matsu! Anthony Lombardo has got the better of the ground game so far. Lombardo is landing with some decent strikes but Matsu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsu is desperately trying to improve his position but Lombardo has a good base and remains in mount. Matsu is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Matsu is squirming around, avoiding Lombardo's attempts to control the action. The referee warns Matsu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lombardo looking to control and managing it successfully. Matsu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lombardo working away from the top, dropping strikes. Matsu is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Matsu is trying to stand up. Lombardo looking to secure an arm triangle but Matsu defends it well. Matsu slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Lombardo not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lombardo prevents Matsu from improving his position. Matsu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lombardo is working away from the top position though. Lombardo seems to be working for a kimura but Matsu defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Lombardo there. Matsu is controlling Lombardo's position as best he can from this difficult position. Matsu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Matsu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A big right from Matsu misses. Matsu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Matsu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lombardo to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Matsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lombardo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Matsu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lombardo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsu swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Matsu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lombardo. Matsu has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lombardo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Matsu throws a hook but Lombardo avoids it easily. Matsu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lombardo sprawls well. Lombardo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Matsu gets slowly back to his feet. Lombardo moves away from the strike by Matsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matsu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lombardo. Lombardo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nice defenses there by Lombardo. Matsu lands a lovely overhand right. Anthony Lombardo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lombardo moves out of range of the strikes. Matsu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lombardo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Matsu. Lombardo misses with a double jab.
Matsu throws a jab when Lombardo was well out of range. Lombardo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matsu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lombardo. Lombardo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Matsu's half guard. Matsu wants to control but Lombardo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Matsu is trying to get back to full guard. Matsu is working hard here to advance position. Lombardo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lombardo trying to control the action but Matsu is working from the bottom. Lombardo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anthony Lombardo. Lombardo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lombardo duly obliges. Lombardo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matsu manages to avoid it. Lombardo moves out of range as Matsu strikes. Hatsu Matsu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Matsu blocks a head kick by Lombardo.

Lombardo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matsu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Lombardo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lombardo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
