The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter misses the shot to the body.
Fernandez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Mark Walter has been cut.
Fernandez connects with a right hand. Walter shakes it off.
Fernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fernandez. Walter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fernandez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walter just misses with a punch to the body.
Fernandez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Walter moves forwards but Fernandez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fernandez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fernandez fails to land with a series of punches.
Fernandez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Walter throws out the jab.
Walter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fernandez sprawls well initially but Walter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Walter is trying for a kimura here. Fernandez looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Walter wins by kimura!

Mark Walter tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
