The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman closes the distance and clinches up with Wakka, looking for a takedown. Freeman pushes Wakka against the cage but Wakka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wakka avoids the body shot from Freeman.
Nice takedown defense from Wakka. No joy for Freeman on that attempt.
Freeman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Freeman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wakka stuffs the takedown attempt from Freeman. Freeman gets slowly back to his feet.
Wakka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Wakka fails to land with a series of punches.
Freeman gets caught napping as Wakka dives in and scores a takedown. Freeman manages to retain guard.
Wakka trying to control but Freeman is working from the bottom.
Freeman is pulling down on Wakka's head to control his posture.
Wakka is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Freeman has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wakka is looking to defend but Freeman has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wakka! Freeman pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wakka taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gordon Freeman!
