Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Garcilazo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Garcilazo! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris doesn't manage to clinch there - Garcilazo circles away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Harris enables Garcilazo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harris manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Harris keeping moving, preventing Garcilazo from controlling successfully. Harris trying to control the position.
Harris wants to sweep here but Garcilazo controlling him for the moment. Garcilazo trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garcilazo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harris dives on top into guard. Garcilazo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daniel Garcilazo wasn't active enough on the ground. Harris closes the distance and pushes Garcilazo back into the cage. Garcilazo is working for takedown but Harris is calmly controlling the position for now. Garcilazo goes for a takedown attempt but Harris pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Garcilazo shoots in and bounces Harris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris kicks Garcilazo off and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcilazo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harris sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcilazo somewhat. Garcilazo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Garcilazo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Harris tries to escape but Garcilazo is in control. Harris wants to control but Garcilazo postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harris prevents Garcilazo from moving into mount. Harris seems a little lost for a moment, as Garcilazo dominates the positioning. Harris is trying to get back to half guard. Garcilazo controlling the position. Garcilazo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Garcilazo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Garcilazo throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Harris works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Nice strikes from Garcilazo there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garcilazo controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcilazo is trying to work for a kimura but Harris is defending well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Garcilazo wants to pass the guard but Harris is keeping the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcilazo cracks Harris with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Garcilazo immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Harris is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Garcilazo!

After the fight, Daniel Garcilazo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
