Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ferrell moves into range and clinches up with Zilman.
ferrell wants to get back to striking at distance but Zilman won't allow it.

ferrell is trying to break the clinch but Zilman has him pressed against the cage.
ferrell has clasped his hands together around Zilman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

ferrell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zilman has time to react.

ferrell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to mark ferrell.
Well ferrell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
