Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tino Mic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cassio Venas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Venas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Darude - Sandstorm (Wanderlei Silva Entrance Theme). Venas has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Cassio Venas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tino Mic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cassio Venas!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Venas looks gassed!
Venas parries the strikes from Mic easily there. Mic is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Venas to escape.
Venas is not content to let Mic control the position.
Venas dodges the ground and pound from Mic.
Mic tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Mic stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mic shoots in and bounces Venas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mic gets to his feet. Venas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mic shoots in and gets a takedown into Venas's guard.
Mic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mic gets to his feet - Venas follows without any prompting.

Mic tries to close the distance and clinch but Venas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mic doesn't manage to clinch there - Venas circles away.
Cassio Venas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mic feints and as Venas raises his hands in defense, Mic changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Venas keeping moving, preventing Mic from controlling successfully.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mic tries to free his leg and advance position but Venas is retaining full guard.
Tino Mic has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Mic scores with a head kick.

Mic throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Mic throws a series of punches but Venas avoids them all with ease.
Mic is looking to clinch.
Mic bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mic advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tino Mic dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Venas misses with a wild combination.
Mic drives through and clinches with Venas against the cage.
Mic manages to break the clinch.
Mic gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Venas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mic has him pressed against the cage.
Mic turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mic manages to end up in side control.
Mic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Venas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Venas keeps working.
Venas is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Venas is trying to get back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes there by Mic.
Mic working the ground and pound but Venas is defending the strikes.
Venas is not content to let Mic control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mic tries for a kimura but Venas is defending well.
Mic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Venas to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick from Mic lands but Venas takes it in his stride.
Mic lands with a good body shot.
Mic fakes the leg kick and cracks Venas in the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mic!
Mic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Venas's half guard.
Mic decides to stand up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mic postures up in Venas's guard and throws a big left but Venas blocks it.
Tino Mic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mic's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tino Mic.
Venas takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mic has managed to clinch.
Mic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Venas to the mat! Venas manages to get full guard.
Venas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mic is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tino Mic dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A looping hook to the body misses from Mic. Venas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mic dives in and scores a takedown into Venas's guard.
Mic trying to control the position from guard on top but Venas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tino Mic wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mic lands a head kick!
Mic scores a takedown into full mount!
Mic tries to control but Venas wriggling away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mic sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Mic is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Venas is surviving well by controlling Mic's body position as best he can.
Mic looking to control but Venas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mic working for a submission but Venas is keeping him at bay.
Mic throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Venas because Mic loaded up on that one.
Mic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Venas can do to turn this around?
Mic tries to control but Venas wriggling away.

Mic looking to ground and pound but Venas is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mic controlling the pace for now.
Mic trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mic dominating with strikes here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Venas is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Mic has taken his back!
Mic missing with punches from the back.
Mic is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Venas defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that's the end of the fight!
Tino Mic showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mic has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
