Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Dainty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Giovanni Dainty has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Giovanni Dainty seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Davies!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dainty feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dainty's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Davies avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dainty sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Giovanni Dainty wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Dainty slaps away a takedown attempt from Davies, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Davies looks to land a combination but Dainty avoids it well.
Dainty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davies quickly recovers to half guard.
Dainty slows the pace down in half guard.
Dainty works his way into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dainty is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Davies is surviving well by controlling Dainty's body position as best he can.
Dainty avoids the attempt from Davies to control.
Dainty is landing with some decent strikes but Davies is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Davies is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dainty scoring with strikes but Davies is staying in there.
It looks like Joe Davies has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dainty lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Davies hang on?
A big strike lands for Dainty! That's really hurt Davies and he's turned his back - Dainty keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Dainty jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giovanni Dainty!
