Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Shalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Gray!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gray closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shalf's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gray trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gray with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Shalf lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gray!

Gray looks up at the clock and then as Shalf takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gray smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You can see the frustration on Shalf's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mark Gray showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Gray hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
