Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Kottusch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fejao Rulez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Kottusch has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tim Kottusch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fejao Rulez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kottusch misses with a takedown attempt - Rulez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kottusch throws a sloppy head kick and Rulez moves out of range easily. Rulez is looking to clinch. Rulez has a takedown stuffed. Kottusch closes the distance and clinches up with Rulez, looking for a takedown. Kottusch pushes Rulez against the cage but Rulez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kottusch shoots for a takedown but Rulez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Kottusch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kottusch avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kottusch shoots for a double leg takedown but Rulez sprawls well. He's pushed Kottusch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rulez avoids the head kick by Kottusch.
Rulez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rulez lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rulez sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kottusch has control of Rulez's left arm, preventing Rulez from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rulez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kottusch is keeping the position for now. Rulez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kottusch's head. Rulez wanted to stand there but Kottusch had control of the position. Rulez wants to control from the top but Kottusch keeps moving. Rulez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kottusch swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rulez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rulez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rulez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rulez wants to control from the top but Kottusch keeps moving. Rulez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rulez with a poor takedown and Kottusch counters with a straight right hand. Kottusch misses with a head kick.
Rulez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kottusch misses with a body kick. Kottusch throws a nice head kick!
Kottusch sizes up Rulez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Rulez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kottusch! Rulez lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kottusch wants to control but Rulez is having none of it. Kottusch is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rulez has hold of Kottusch's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kottusch manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rulez looks gassed! Rulez controlling his opponent. Rulez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kottusch is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kottusch tries to hold on but Rulez pushes him away. Rulez controlling his opponent. Rulez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kottusch is looking to escape. Rulez unloads with some shots from mount but Kottusch bucks and avoids them well.
Rulez is working for a guillotine from mount but Kottusch frees his head quite easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fejao Rulez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
No luck for Kottusch with that takedown attempt. Rulez misses with a takedown attempt - Kottusch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tim Kottusch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rulez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kottusch is fending him off so far but Rulez persists. Nope, Kottusch circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown by Rulez or perhaps it was just good defense by Kottusch which made him look bad. Tim Kottusch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fejao Rulez. Kottusch drives through and clinches with Rulez against the cage.
Rulez decides to pull guard. Kottusch is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rulez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rulez manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rulez wants to clinch but Kottusch slips to the side and Kottusch counters with a nice leg kick. Kottusch lands with an overhand left. Rulez is breathing heavily. Rulez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kottusch. Kottusch fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tim Kottusch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rulez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rulez tries to close the distance and clinch but Kottusch swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rulez takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kottusch moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kottusch looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kottusch throws a combination. Rulez tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kottusch moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kottusch feints and as Rulez raises his hands in defense, Kottusch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rulez looking for a sweep. Not yet Rulez, not yet. Kottusch content to stall in guard here. Kottusch works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rulez trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kottusch is figuring out what he wants to do next. Rulez is trying to get back to full guard. Rulez wants to get back to full guard but Kottusch has passed into side control. Rulez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rulez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rulez tries to lock up and control but Kottusch gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rulez is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kottusch is staying active. Kottusch manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rulez to take his back! Kottusch tightening his grip on Rulez, looking for the choke. You can see the frustration on Rulez's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rulez trying to control the hands but Kottusch breaks the grip. Kottusch throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. What can Rulez do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Rulez manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kottusch's guard. Nice work there by Rulez.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Rulez fails with the takedown and Kottusch counters with a head kick. Kottusch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rulez as he jumps to the side. Kottusch shoots in but no luck this time. Rulez avoids a kick to the body.

and Kottusch counters with a one-two to the body. Kottusch works over Rulez's head and body with a nice combination. Kottusch lands with a slapping head kick. Kottusch lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kottusch. Rulez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tim Kottusch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fejao Rulez. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rulez. Kottusch lands a head kick!
Horrible takedown by Rulez or perhaps it was just good defense by Kottusch which made him look bad. Rulez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kottusch looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rulez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kottusch will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rulez advances nicely into full mount. Rulez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kottusch is looking to get to half guard. Rulez throwing strikes here but Kottusch is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Rulez tries to control but Kottusch wriggling away. Rulez tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Kottusch is squirming around, avoiding Rulez's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rulez controlling his opponent. Kottusch can't escape the position.

Rulez throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Rulez is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kottusch has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kottusch bucks Rulez off and manages to get back to his feet! The fight stays on the outside here - Rulez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kottusch goes for a high kick. It partially lands. No luck for Rulez with that takedown attempt. Kottusch fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rulez tries for a takedown but Kottusch circles away easily and Kottusch counters with a left and a right that stings Rulez. Rulez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rulez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kottusch throws a head kick that misses. Rulez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kottusch as he avoids it easily. Rulez moves in looking to clinch but Kottusch pushes him off. Kottusch goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kottusch - that will leave a mark!

Kottusch lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rulez shoots in for a takedown but Kottusch shows good takedown defense. Kottusch throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rulez. Kottusch looks to throw the jab but Rulez is out of range. Kottusch shoots and misses and Rulez counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rulez has a takedown stuffed. Kottusch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Kottusch showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kottusch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
