Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dane Brigglett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cabbat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dane Brigglett has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dane Brigglett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Cabbat! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabbat gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Eric Cabbat has been cut. Cabbat shoots for a takedown but Brigglett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cabbat uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brigglett. Brigglett has closed the distance and engaged Cabbat in a clinch.
Brigglett misses with a hook from the clinch. Brigglett stalling the fight.
Brigglett is pressed up against the cage. Cabbat has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brigglett down to the mat. Brigglett avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brigglett tries for a takedown but Cabbat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cabbat throws a leg kick but Brigglett moved away. Brigglett throws a jab when Cabbat was well out of range. Cabbat on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Brigglett lands a slapping body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabbat closes the distance and clinches. Brigglett works on Cabbat's body with a couple of short punches. Cabbat looks gassed! Brigglett gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Brigglett manages to break the clinch.
Cabbat takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Brigglett moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Cabbat goes down! Can Brigglett finish him!?
Cabbat is rocked!
That has opened up Eric Cabbat's cut even more. Brigglett working some strikes from top position. Cabbat is still in real trouble! Can Brigglett finish him? Brigglett looking to sit in guard and control but Cabbat gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brigglett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cabbat seems to have recovered his senses. Cabbat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brigglett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brigglett is pulling down on Cabbat's head to control his posture. Brigglett avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brigglett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cabbat is one step ahead there. Brigglett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cabbat's guard. Brigglett lands a couple of digs. Cabbat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brigglett trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Cabbat manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Brigglett keeping full guard, as Cabbat tries to pass. Brigglett is adopting a defensive guard. Cabbat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brigglett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brigglett is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cabbat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brigglett is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cabbat works over Brigglett with some ground and pound from guard. Cabbat wants to control from the top but Brigglett keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cabbat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cabbat is looking to work some ground and pound but Brigglett has wrist control. Brigglett is trying to control the position but Cabbat postures up. Brigglett has his hands on Cabbat's head, controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dane Brigglett dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eric Cabbat's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brigglett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cabbat checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Brigglett scores with the left hand. Cabbat knows he should have avoided that one. Brigglett closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Cabbat out cold! Cabbat corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dane Brigglett! A relieved looking Dane Brigglett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
