Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Tome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takiyama Shigaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Tome! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Takiyama Shigaru! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shigaru keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shigaru shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Shigaru controlling the position easily from mount. Shigaru landing strikes from the mount. Tome is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Shigaru content just to control the position here. Shigaru trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tome is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Tome tries to reverse the position but Shigaru maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BOOM! Shigaru connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Tome doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Tome really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Tome throwing hammer fists to the chest of Shigaru. What's that going to do exactly? Shigaru lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shigaru wants to take Tome's back here but Tome is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Tome tries to hold on but Shigaru postures up. Tome tries to reverse the position but Shigaru maintains control. Tome is trying to stand. Shigaru trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shigaru putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Shigaru tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shigaru raining down shots from the mount! Shigaru tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Shigaru punching from mount but Tome doing a good job of avoiding damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tome trying desperately to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tome is desperately trying to improve his position but Shigaru has a good base and remains in mount. Shigaru sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tome keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Shigaru unloading with bombs! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shigaru moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tome has worked his arm free - good work by Tome!
Shigaru is trying to get an arm triangle but Tome is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takiyama Shigaru dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shigaru throws a sloppy head kick and Tome moves out of range easily. Tome misses with a takedown attempt and Shigaru counters with a takedown into side control. Tome pushes Shigaru away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shigaru gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Tome tries to improve position but can't. Shigaru prevents Tome from escaping the position. Tome prevents Shigaru from moving into mount. Shigaru cracks Tome with an elbow. That is naaassty. Tome struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tome is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shigaru trying to control the action but Tome is working from the bottom. Tome is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shigaru has just dragged him back down to the mat. Shigaru has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shigaru tries to clinch up but Tome circles away and keeps his distance. Shigaru bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shigaru prevents Tome from escaping the position. Shigaru tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shigaru tries to move into full mount but can't pass Tome's legs. Tome is looking to regain half guard here but Shigaru keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tome regains half guard. Tome is concentrating on defense, preventing Shigaru from advancing position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shigaru in particular looking to stall. Shigaru trying to work for an americana but Tome has managed to regain full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tome is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tome passes to side control. Shigaru is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Shigaru looking for submissions off his back. Shigaru is breathing heavily. Tome works his way into side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shigaru struggling a bit here. Tome working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takiyama Shigaru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Shigaru displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tome. Shigaru connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tome momentarily.
Shigaru defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tome. Shigaru scores with a takedown into Tome's guard. Tome keeping full guard, as Shigaru tries to pass. Tome keeping moving, preventing Shigaru from controlling successfully. Shigaru pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tome is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shigaru looking to sit in guard and control but Tome gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shigaru is working an open guard so Tome takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Shigaru looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tome! Tome has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Tome looking very determined here, making life difficult for Shigaru.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shigaru seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Tome's chin but Tome turns very nicely into Shigaru's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Tome.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shigaru can do anything to dispel that myth. Shigaru takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tome stops Shigaru from standing up. Tome passes Shigaru's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tome looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shigaru with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tome decides to stand up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shigaru misses with a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tome shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shigaru but Shigaru pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Tome. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shigaru throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tome was covering up waiting for the punch and Shigaru finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tome has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shigaru off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Tome tries for a takedown but Shigaru sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shigaru looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tome lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shigaru circles away quickly and effectively. Andrew Tome is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tome shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shigaru but Shigaru pushes him off and we're back to square one. Shigaru shoots in and bounces Tome off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Shigaru pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tome is keeping the position for now. Shigaru trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tome's guard. Andrew Tome has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Takiyama Shigaru is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tome had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shigaru defends it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Takiyama Shigaru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shigaru has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
