The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cote throws a strike but Hashisha rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hashisha content to stall in guard here.
Hashisha is pushing down on Cote's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cote is fighting to maintain full guard but Hashisha has managed to sneak the leg through.

Hashisha prevents Cote from improving his position.

Hashisha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hashisha has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ignatious Hashisha just wasn't active enough.

Hashisha dances in with a quick combination. Cote is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hashisha snaps Cote's head back. Cote stumbles backwards against the cage. Hashisha steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Cote's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Cote just didn't come prepared.
