Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Carver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Kent! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent shoots in but Carver avoids the takedown attempt easily. Carver doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kent counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carver! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Carver wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Kent trying to control but Carver is having none of it. Carver is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Carver bucks Kent off and manages to get back to his feet! Carver has his takedown stuffed and Kent counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carver won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carver knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Carver pushes Kent away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kent gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kent tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kent has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kent decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent just misses with a punch to the body.
Carver shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kent sprawls well. Kent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carver gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kent stuffs the takedown attempt from Carver. Carver gets slowly back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Carver. No joy for Kent on that attempt. Nice takedown defense from Kent. No joy for Carver on that attempt. Carver is breathing heavily. Kent shoots in looking for a takedown but Carver manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kent's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kent shoots in for a takedown but Carver shows good takedown defense. Kent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Carver misses with a takedown attempt and Kent counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carver knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kent on the ground. Carver wants to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kent lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent working Carver over with strikes. Kent thows a huge punch but Carver dodges it nicely.
Carver on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kent works his way into full mount! Kent is trying to take his opponent's back.
A nice elbow there by Kent. Kent tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carver trying desperately to get to his feet.
Kent has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Carver is forced to tap!
