Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Djoser Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evander Tripp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tripp has chosen Bad Company - The Nine as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Djoser Rei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Evander Tripp! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tripp throws a right hand that Rei ducks under and follows up with a left that Rei also avoids with ease. Rei throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Tripp ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rei moves away. That kick from Rei tenderised Tripp's leg. Tripp is trying to keep his angry face on. Tripp bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Tripp lunges at Rei with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rei's hand. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rei.
Tripp lands a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rei moves in looking to clinch but Tripp pushes him off. Tripp swings for the body but Rei moves out of range.
Tripp lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rei at a distance.
Tripp swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tripp connects with a body shot. Evander Tripp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tripp jabs Rei to the body, keeping him at a distance. Rei lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rei steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tripp. Tripp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rei walks into a jab. Tripp just misses with a punch to the body.
Djoser Rei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tripp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rei circles away quickly and effectively. Rei feints and then cracks Tripp's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tripp down. Tripp shoots in and gets a takedown into Rei's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rei is trying to keep Tripp in close.
Tripp throws an elbow that misses. Rei uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tripp's guard. Nice move by Rei! Rei stops Tripp from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tripp pulls Rei in to control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Djoser Rei wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A bone on bone clash there as Tripp blocks the leg kick.
A head kick from Rei lands but Tripp takes it in his stride. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tripp shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rei manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tripp is looking to work some ground and pound but Rei has wrist control. Rei is trying to control the position but Tripp postures up. Tripp must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tripp is looking to work some ground and pound but Rei has wrist control. Rei being controlled here, momentarily. Rei avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tripp trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tripp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rei avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tripp postures up in Rei's guard and throws a big left but Rei blocks it. Tripp throwing strikes but missing. Rei is breathing heavily. Tripp throws a big right hand that misses. Tripp engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Tripp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tripp looking to pass the guard. Tripp throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rei works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tripp is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tripp wants to pass the guard but Rei is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evander Tripp dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tripp lands with a nice body punch. Rei moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Tripp scores with a jab to the body. Tripp just misses with a punch to the body.

Tripp cracks a nice hook into Rei's ribs. Tripp dives in and scores a takedown into Rei's guard. Tripp looking to pass the guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tripp is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rei on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rei tries to get out of the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tripp looking to pass the guard. Tripp with a flurry of punches that miss. Rei keeping full guard, as Tripp tries to pass. Tripp lands a couple of elbows. Tripp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Tripp throwing strikes from guard but Rei blocks nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tripp lands a couple of digs. Rei working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tripp. Rei being controlled here, momentarily. Tripp chips away with some ground and pound. Tripp trying to control but Rei is working from the bottom. Tripp with a flurry of punches that miss. Rei being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tripp is looking to work some ground and pound but Rei has wrist control. Rei is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tripp wants to control from the top but Rei keeps moving. Evander Tripp has got the better of the ground game so far. Rei preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rei has momentary wrist control but Tripp slips an elbow through the middle. Tripp is stalling in the full guard. Rei utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tripp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tripp cracks Rei with a solid left hand. Tripp is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rei controlling the position. Tripp engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Evander Tripp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Rei's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tripp throws a right and a left that Rei avoids nicely. Decent striking displayed by Tripp there. Rei slips under a jab. Tripp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rei.

Tripp works the jab nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tripp ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tripp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tripp lands in his opponent's guard. Tripp is looking to work some ground and pound but Rei has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tripp tries to free his leg and advance position but Rei is retaining full guard. Tripp scoring with punches to the head and body. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tripp's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Tripp won't allow Rei to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tripp controlling from the top position. Tripp stands up over Rei, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Djoser Rei has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Evander Tripp is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tripp controlling from the top position. Tripp has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Evander Tripp wasn't active enough on the ground. Tripp pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rei back to the cage. Tripp follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tripp bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rei's head backwards. Tripp uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rei has time to react. Tripp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tripp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rei wants to hold on but Tripp pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tripp tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Rei wants to hold on but Tripp pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tripp controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Evander Tripp. Tripp fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tripp.
Tripp is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rei rather than just go for the knockout. Tripp fails to land with a series of punches.
Tripp looks to land a combination. Rei sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Tripp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tripp slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Let's hope that Tripp has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Evander Tripp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tripp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
