Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dookie Stainz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dookie Stainz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaice Gunn! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Stainz looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gunn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stainz has escaped the position, nice work there. Stainz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gunn trying to control the action but Stainz is working from the bottom. Gunn landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Gunn cracks Stainz with a big elbow. Gunn working the head and body with strikes. Gunn decides to stand back up. Gunn steps back and let's Stainz get back to his feet. Gunn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stainz napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gunn grinds an elbow into Stainz's temple. Gunn looks up at the clock and then as Stainz takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gunn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stainz tries to bench press Gunn off him but Gunn keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn is trying to get an arm triangle but Stainz is defending well. Gunn lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Stainz parries the strikes from Gunn easily there. Gunn is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stainz to escape.

Gunn is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Stainz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Gunn decides to take the fight back to the feet. Gunn moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunn stalls. Stainz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Stainz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gunn works over Stainz's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gunn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Stainz wants to get back to full guard. Gunn scoring with strikes to the body and head. Gunn sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stainz is in trouble now - Gunn has advanced to mount! Gunn cracks Stainz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stainz wants to try and get back to his feet. Stainz throwing hammer fists to the chest of Gunn. What's that going to do exactly? Gunn in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Gunn trying to control but Stainz is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunn working the ground and pound effectively.
Gunn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stainz is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunn landing strikes from the mount. Stainz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Gunn landing punches. Stainz is looking to improve his position but Gunn isn't that keen on the idea. Gunn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stainz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gunn scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Gunn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gunn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gunn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stainz controls Gunn momentarily but Gunn frees himself. Gunn controlling from the top position. Stainz keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Gunn obliges. Gunn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gunn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gunn is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Stainz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stainz wants to control but Gunn is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gunn is looking to advance position but Stainz won't allow it. Stainz pushes Gunn off looking to stand but Gunn dives back in and keeps control.
Gunn works his way into side control. Gunn stands up. Gunn drives through with a takedown into Stainz's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunn wants to control from the top but Stainz keeps moving. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kaice Gunn was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gunn shoots in looking for a takedown. Stainz tries to sprawl out of it but Gunn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stainz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gunn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stainz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Stainz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gunn is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gunn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stainz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stainz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Dookie Stainz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gunn tries to clinch but Stainz is having none of it. Gunn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gunn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stainz pushes Gunn off but Gunn dives into side control.

Stainz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gunn is putting a hurting on Stainz here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gunn has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Gunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stainz.

That's going to take a lot out of Kaice Gunn. Gunn landing knees to the head.
Stainz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gunn pulls his leg out and moves away.

Stainz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gunn closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stainz's guard. Gunn gets to his feet - Stainz follows without any prompting.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Gunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stainz throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn counters with a series of strikes. Stainz will be more careful next time no doubt. No joy there for Stainz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stainz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Gunn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gunn thows a huge punch but Stainz dodges it nicely.
Stainz makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Dookie Stainz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gunn moves into the clinch. Stainz wants to break free but Gunn has control.
Still in the clinch, Gunn scores with a nice short uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice body punch from Gunn. Stainz is trying to break free. The referee is keeping an eye on Gunn - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dookie Stainz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kaice Gunn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Stainz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Kaice Gunn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gunn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
