Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julian Assange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axel Edwards told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assange lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Assange swings widly with a right hand
and Edwards counters with a nice kick to the body.
Edwards getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Julian Assange has been cut.
Axel Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edwards swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Assange counters with a nice double leg into side control. Edwards won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Assange lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Edwards down.
Assange has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Assange connects with a nice short shot to Edwards's temple.

Assange tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Assange drops a big elbow. That's hurt Edwards! More shots from Assange and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
