Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dante Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismail Polat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Gun - Manu Chao. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dante Carver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ismail Polat! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carver throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Polat stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Carver throws a nice looking combination but Polat bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Carver blocks a head kick by Polat.
Carver throws a shot to the body.
Polat throws an off balance right hand
and Carver counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carver is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Polat defends it well. Carver is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Carver seems to be looking for submissions.
Polat avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carver.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Polat is defending against the submission attempts here by Carver.
Carver is trying to work for a kimura but Polat is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Carver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Polat keeps working. Carver is working for a kimura but Polat is defending it quite comfortably.
Polat is not content to let Carver control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Polat sees it coming and defends easily. Carver tries to pass the half guard into mount. Polat knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Polat keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Carver is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Polat is just riding it out for now. Carver eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Polat won't allow Carver to pass to mount. Carver trying to control from half guard but Polat is working away. Carver missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Polat is not content to let Carver control the position. Carver working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Polat's thigh. Polat counters though and makes it back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dante Carver dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Polat looks to land a right hand but Carver moved out of range. Carver misses with a few strikes there.
Carver shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Polat as he avoids it easily. Carver blocks a jab. Carver thows a body shot but no joy. Excellent takedown into side control there by Carver. Carver working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Carver swings around for an armbar but Polat sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Carver's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Polat has passed into half guard!
Carver is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Polat pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carver wants to get back to full guard. Carver looking for submissions off his back. Carver actively working from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Carver manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Polat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carver is keeping the position for now. Polat slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Polat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Polat trying to control the position from guard on top but Carver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Polat is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Polat should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Carver has tightened it up now! Polat should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
